SYNOPSIS:Narrated By Jay Jackson. Writer/director/producer extraordinaire Robert Youngson edits together the greatest scenes from the golden age of comedy's silent film era. This was the fourth such compilation from Oscar winner Youngson (the earlier ones being Golden Age of Comedy, When Comedy was King, and Days of Thrills and Laughter). Youngson chose from hundreds of hours of vintage clips and only the funniest and rarest material makes it to the screen. Charlie Chaplin, Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, Buster Keaton, Harry Langdon, Snub Pollard, Billy Bevan, Andy Clyde, Charley Chase and Syd Chaplin are just some of the master comics on display. Their zany antics will have you doubling over with laughter. The film also features scarce footage of such screen greats as Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, Greta Garbo, Tom Mix and John Gilbert. NOTE: This DVD contains the original 85 minute feature and not an edited down version.
