SYNOPSIS:In an innovative flashback structure, A Man to Remember recounts the life of a small-town doctor John Abbott (Edward Ellis) -- a selfless hero who readily sacrifices his own career for the welfare of his patients. At the expense of his own well-being, Abbott not only succeeds in building a much-needed county hospital, but also combats a polio epidemic, fighting a currupt count Board of Supervisors at every turn.
Though a "B" movie made in a mere 15 days, A Man to Remember garnered extraordinary critical praise!
PLEASE NOTE: A Man to Remember is presented with Dutch subtitles. At present, this is the only known surviving print.
