SYNOPSIS:
Casimir accepts a job as a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman and gets himself into many complicated situations. One day he calls on artist Paul-André, who is engaged in letters to a wealthy South American woman named Angelita. Paul-André has given Angelita the brush-off and wants to make himself scarce before she blows into town. When she does she mistakes Casimir for her fiancée but Casimir doesn't go running quite so fast when he learns she owns 1000 hotel rooms. He figures 1000 rooms equals 1000 vacuum cleaner sales.
It suddenly looks like his prospects might be picking up. Fernand Joseph Désiré Contandin, better known as Fernandel, was a French actor and singer. He was born in Marseille, France. He was a comedy star who first gained popularity in French vaudeville, operettas, and music hall revues. In 1930, he appeared in his first motion picture and for more than forty years he would be France's top comedic actor.
