SYNOPSIS:
“Bill, why don’t you take the game seriously? You’ll never be a driver if you don’t.” Veteran race driver Jim MacDonald loves young Bill Whipple like a son, even if Bill has more time for girls and gambling than hard work on the track. But ready or not, Bill gets his shot at racing immortality.

William Haines stars as Bill in this revved-up silent movie about men and machines battling for glory at 115 MPH. Haines’s gift for playing leading man and clown (he’s hilarious in a hat-juggling scene with co-star Anita Page) plus thrills provided by famed race drivers combine to make Speedway full-throttle fun.
