SYNOPSIS:
Before The Twilight Zone, there was One Step Beyond! Here are twenty eerie episodes on five DVDs, showcasing the very best of this landmark look at the paranormal, which was hosted by the dour and dapper John Newland.

Rather than conjuring up original stories with sci-fi elements out of thin air as Rod Serling did on The Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond boasted that their plots were based on real tales of the supernatural. (Newland later admitted that many of the "strange occurrences" were anecdotal in origin.)

In addition to his weekly hosting duties, John Newland produced and directed every episode of this eerie and unsettling series, which aired from 1959 thru 1961 and showcased a number of veteran stars, as well as some soon-to-be-familiar up-and-comers, such as CHARLES BRONSON, ROBERT BLAKE, and SUZANNE PLESHETTE. No fan of sci-fi should miss out on this creepy collection!
