SYNOPSIS:Galloping armies, stealthy attacks, cutthroat sword fighting and a stirring romance combine in one of Cecil B. DeMille's greatest screen achievements. When the Saracens take over the Holy City of Jerusalem in the 12th century, King Richard the Lion-Hearted of England (Henry Wilcoxon) vows to reclaim the city for Christianity. In order to get crucial supplies for his soldiers, he resigns himself to marrying a woman he's never met, Princess Berengaria (Loretta Young). But the marriage of convenience quickly changes to passion when the beautiful and determined young woman joins him in the treacherous battle to save the Holy City -- and their love.
