SYNOPSIS:
Produced before the United States entered World War II, the Warner Brothers anti-Nazi film Underground clearly illustrated our growing concerns about Hitler's Germany. Concerns that, of course, proved to be well-founded.

The gripping story follows two brothers: Eric (Philip Dorn), the leader of an underground resistance group that broadcasts a clandestine radio show, and Kurt Franken (Jeffrey Lynn), a maimed but loyal German soldier who returns home unaware of his brother's activities.

Directed by Vincent Sherman (All Through the Night, The Hard Way) Underground steers clear of the usual war movie clichés and builds plenty of tension as the Gestapo gets closer to uncovering the underground network, the resistance relocates its operations to avoid capture, and Kurt begins to suspect his brother.
