--Artwork added to previous announcement--
ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Today's announcement should bring a joyful sigh of relief for those who held off buying last November's monster Hollywood Musicals Collection.
With a hopeful sign of things to come, MGM has announced that two titles from the set,
A Song is Born (1948) and
The Goldwyn Follies (1938), are being released as singles on
April 7th (still M.I.A. as singles are Whoopee & Kid Millions). Also announced for the same day is Sonja Henie's first DVD release in the U.S.,
It's a Pleasure (1945).
No word on bonus features, but they're likely to very slim.
They will each retail for 4.98, but are available at ClassicFlix.com for only
0.99.
