Shout! Factory's announced an August 12th release date for the popular 1965 TV version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella.

This adaptation starring Lesley Ann Warren, Ginger Rogers, and Walter Pidgeon was originally released on DVD back in 2002 through Columbia, but was discontinued around 2007. Thankfully, this new Shout! Factory release will help fans who've shied away from buying expensive surplus copies.

Shout! touts this as a newly restored version of the musical in honor of its 50th anniversary. There's no word on if the bonus content from the 2002 DVD will carry over, nor if there's any new bonus content planned.
