CRITERION: My Darling Clementine Premiering on Blu
Criterion has announced an October 14th street date for the 1946 Western, My Darling Clementine, on a newly restored DVD (2-disc) and Blu-Ray.
The John Ford classic was released on DVD by 20th Century Fox a decade ago, then as part of several box sets including Ford at Fox, The Essential John Ford collection in 2007 and last year's Henry Fonda Set.
A few fascinating bonus features are planned to accompany the sets including the 103-minute director's preview cut that was included in the Ford at Fox set (below).
NOTE: Since last September, Criterion had only released DVD / Blu-Ray combo packs; however, since last month's announcement of The Innocents, home video's premiere label has shunned the costly combined sets for separate releases.

BONUS FEATURES:
- New 4K digital restoration of the theatrical release version of the film, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack on the Blu-ray
- High-definition presentation of the 103-minute prerelease version of the film
- New audio commentary featuring John Ford biographer Joseph McBride
- New interview with western historian Andrew C. Isenberg about the real Wyatt Earp
- Comparison of the two versions by the UCLA Film & Television Archive's Robert Gitt
- New video essay by Ford scholar Tag Gallagher
