20th Century Fox has announced an October 7th release date for the beloved Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals Oklahoma! and The King and I on Blu-ray.

The studio's slowly been rolling out these musical titles on Blu-Ray, with South Pacific being released back in 2009. Fox recently released six of their Rodgers and Hammerstein musicals on HD, including Oklahoma! and The King and I, as part of an eight-disc, Amazon exclusive, box set.

This is the first time both titles are available individually. Currently, State Fair is the only Rodgers and Hammerstein film not available on Blu as a single.

Each film is being released as a Blu-Ray/DVD combo which contains the standard version on an additional disc. While those discs are not rentable, you can still rent the standard versions at ClassicFlix.

The bonus features from both film's past 50th Anniversary editions will carry over to these enhanced disc. No new additional feature have been announced. Artwork is still forthcoming.
