TCM and Universal will release the Fred MacMurray and Claudette Colbert comedy The Egg and I (1947) on Blu-ray for the first time.

The rustic comedy, which propelled Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride's Ma and Pa Kettle characters into their own successful film franchise, came to DVD in 2004.

Unlike past releases from the TCM Vault series, there's no indication this release will have bonus material.

Since this is a TCM Shop exclusive ClassicFlix will carry the DVD as rental only starting December 8th.
