ClassicFlix is pleased to announce a long-term licensing agreement with Shout! Factory to distribute eight films from their library on Blu-ray and DVD.

Two were already made public last Tuesday (Another Man’s Poison, 1951 and Miss Annie Rooney, 1942). The other six are:

• The Crystal Ball (1943) – starring Ray Milland and Paulette Goddard
• Raw Deal (1948) – starring Dennis O’Keefe, Claire Trevor, Marsha Hunt, John Ireland and Raymond Burr and directed by Anthony Mann
• Stand-In (1937) – starring Leslie Howard, Joan Blondell and Humphrey Bogart
• Sundown (1941) – starring Gene Tierney, Bruce Cabot, George Sanders, Harry Carey and Joseph Calleia and directed by Henry Hathaway
• T-Men (1947) – starring Dennis O’Keefe, Alfred Ryder and Wallace Ford and directed by Anthony Mann
• You Only Live Once (1937) – starring Henry Fonda, Sylvia Sidney, Barton MacLane and directed by Fritz Lang

All eight will be released on both formats with those previously on DVD receiving significant upgrades. The Crystal Ball and Miss Annie Rooney have never been released on any home video format.

Film Noir fans should note that with Raw Deal and T-Men part of this deal, combined with another Anthony Mann/John Alton collaboration we’ve licensed (and will announce shortly), a Mann/Alton set is likely to come to fruition.

We’ve accessed BFI prints for both Raw Deal and T-Men and will have more information regarding the potential set in the near future.
