    Seven months since their last wave of titles, Universal's MOD program announces Alan Ladd's And Now Tomorrow (1944) newly available on DVD as part of their Vault Series. Originally meant to be included TCM's Alan Ladd 1940s Collection last December, the film was removed from the set prior to street date. And Now Tomorrow will be available on July 12th.

  • CRITERION: Cat People and Night Train to Munich Arrive in September

    Criterion has announced September street dates for Cat People (1942) and Night Train to Munich (1940) with both films making their Blu debut. Cat, originally dropped in 2005 from Warner as a double feature with its 1944 sequel Curse of the Cat People, is receiving its introduction into the Criterion Collection. Night Train was released on DVD via Criterion in 2010 and it does not appear the DVD will be upgraded....

  • COLUMBIA CLASSICS: Slaves of Babylon Arrives on DVD

    Sony's Columbia Classics debuts the William Castle directed religious epic starring Richard Conte and Linda Christian, Slaves of Babylon (1953) on DVD for the first time. The film marks a departure for director Castle who would be best known for horror films (and their ensuing gimmicks) starting in the late 1950s.   • OLIVE: The Pride and the Passion Debuts on Blu in August

    Olive Films has announced the debut of Stanley Kramer's The Pride and the Passion (1957) on Blu-Ray this August 16th. The 1957 war drama boasts a cast that includes Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra and Sophia Loren. It was previously released on DVD in 2002 via MGM and is getting an upgraded DVD with this release. Olive will also release an upgraded DVD on the same date.
