  • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Receiving 50th Anniversary Edition

    The popular Christmas television movie, 1964's Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, is being released on Blu-Ray and DVD in honor of its 50th Anniversary on November 4th. For a 50th Anniversary, the bonus content is minute, consisting of drawing tutorials, sing-alongs, and a pop-up book featurette. Rudolph has been released several times over the years, from a Christmas classics box set in 2007 and 2012, to a 2-Disc DVD and Blu-Ray edition last September.

    Criterion has announced a November 18th street date for the 1934 romantic comedy, It Happened One Night, on a newly restored DVD (2-disc) and Blu-Ray. Originally released on DVD in 1999 via Sony, it was also included as part of the Premiere Frank Capra Collection in 2006.   • KINO: Death Kiss Rescheduled for October

    Kino has confirmed a rescheduled release date of October 14th for The Death Kiss on Blu-Ray and DVD. The 1932 film starring Dracula stars David Manners and Bela Lugosi was originally set for release in May, but was postponed for unknown reasons. This 35mm restoration, done in association with The Library of Congress, is expected to be an improvement over previous PD edtions. Bonus content hasn't been announced.
